Rural Fencing Services

Not all fences are the same, and not all fencing materials are of the same quality. At Stonehill Rural Services we maintain a very high standard of fence quality in materials and workmanship so our fencing products will provide years of excellent durable service for your fencing needs.

Rural Fences

We build rural fences and these can be constructed in one of two main fencing styles:-

  • Post & Rail Fences
  • Wire Fences

Each type has specific advantages and disadvantages depending on your needs and David is the best person to advise you on the most suitable fencing solution for your fencing needs. We can construct fencing in the following fence materials:-

  • Galvanised Steel Fences
  • Hot Dipped Steel Fences
  • Hardwood Fences
  • Treated Pine Fences such as Ecowood
  • Equine Fences using New Creo timber

If white ants or horses eating timbers are a problem, then we have the solutions for you.

Our preferred fencing materials are either steel or plantation timber as they don’t tap into native forests and offer a number of advantages over traditional timber.

Hardwood Fences

Traditionally hardwood has been the preferred fencing material for the construction of rural fencing. For many years it has been reputed to be tough and long lasting. Today however, good quality hardwood for fencing is becoming more and more scarce and it no longer withstands the test of time as it has done in the past. If you are looking for a traditional and perhaps rustic look for your fence then hardwood fencing may be the way to go.

If white ants or horses eating timbers are a problem, then we have the solutions for you. Our preferred fencing materials are either steel or plantation timber as they don’t tap into native forests and offer a number of advantages over traditional timber:

Galvanised Steel Fences

The ultimate in long lasting strength & durability, galvanised steel fencing will outlast all other fencing materials but still remain aesthetically pleasing. Maintenance free fencing and a good choice for horse fences.

Fence Strainers are available in a range of sizes from 2’’ gal to 4, 5 & 6” in hot dipped gal.

Fencing Intermediates are available as a 100 x 45 taper flanged beam hot dipped.

Fence Star posts are available as heavy duty hot dipped posts.

Treated Pine Fences

CCA - (Copper chromate arsenic) fencing

Ecowood - a safe alternative to CCA fence timber which uses a world-wide accepted tanalised preservative system.

Creo - a very aesthetically pleasing fencing timber product based on creosote as the preservative which is impregnated into the timber under heat and pressure. Horses won’t eat it.
